At OCAD’s Visual Analytics Lab, my team and I worked on data visualizations for the Centre of Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI). CABHI is an accelerator focused on driving innovation in the aging and brain health sector. We were tasked to examine data on CABHI’s different funding programs and produce data visualizations that would allow the institution to continue to receive support from Provincial and Federal funding sources. Through this project I was introduced to new software such as RAWGraphs, Tableau, Data Illustrator, MapBox and was able to improve my Excel skills by working with large amounts of data and applying that data to tell a story that would encourage stakeholder support. Throughout the project, we met and presented to CABHI’s leadership team and the President of OCADU.
This is an example of a poster I designed for the Financial Aid & Awards Department. I have also crafted to the department's social media strategy, including informational posts, print material (brochures, pamphlets) and digital signage to display around campus and on university events. In addition to this, I also design internal training manuals, process maps, presentations and forms. Through this and other print and digital communications, our office aims to equip students with essential information that will help them throughout their years at OCADU and beyond.
GIF animation to promote the importance of budgeting and to encourage students to save money.
These are examples of posters and multimedia for other departments within the university, I've also designed content for Safety & Security, Human Resources, the Registration office, International Student Office, Campus Life and Student Communications.
